The community of Lysos, a small village at the edge of the Pafos Forest, and Lysos Expat Association, invite us to experience their Cultural Festival.
The festival starts with the preparation of “Resi”, one of the most traditional dishes served at a Cypriot wedding. Resi is like a porridge made from coarsely wheat boiled in meat broth. The organisers will show us all the steps for its preparation: how to grind wheat with a huge stone grinder and how to cook it.
There will be a wide variety of food to purchase, as well as drinks such as Cyprus wine and traditional zivania (strong pomace drink).
The festival will also feature traditional dances and a live band.
