Aida Garifullina – World Opera Star

Aida Garifullina, one of the most celebrated sopranos of our time — a principal artist of the Vienna State Opera and the Metropolitan Opera in New York joins the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of its Artistic Director, internationally acclaimed conductor Myron Michailidis for a spectacular evening of operatic masterpieces.
The world-acclaimed soprano will be performing famous opera arias by Verdi, Puccini, Bizet and Tchaikovsky. She is joined on stage by two acclaimed opera singers: tenor Kirill Sikora and baritone Semyon Antakov. The programme also features famous waltzes.

Winner of the legendary Operalia competition founded by Plácido Domingo, Aida Garifullina has performed alongside Andrea Bocelli and graced the stages of La Scala, the Arena di Verona, Covent Garden, Paris Opéra and the Salzburg Festival. She is a Decca Records artist and ECHO Klassik Award winner. In 2018, together with Robbie Williams, she opened the FIFA World Cup at Luzhniki Stadium — one of the most-watched musical performances in history.
