Stis Nyxtas tin Anasa: Tribute to Savvas Savvas in Nicosia

«Stis Nyxtas tin Anasa» (In the Breath of Night) is a live concert event in Nicosia, Cyprus, honouring the romantic songwriting catalogue of composer and pianist Savvas Savvas across his long artistic career. Taking place on Wednesday, 16 September 2026 at 20:00 on the Main Stage of the Satirical Theatre of Nicosia, this is a rare evening that blends music, poetry, and emotion into a single atmospheric ritual.

Musical landscapes for piano, cello, bass, guitar, and percussion meet six voices in a creative dialogue between melody and word. Orchestral compositions, set-to-music songs, and spoken-word recitations weave a deeply sensual atmosphere, with love as the central theme.

The programme draws from Savvas Savvas's discography as well as songs composed for theatre productions, concerts, and documentaries. Lyrics and poems by celebrated writers — including Constantine Cavafy, Pablo Neruda, Anna Akhmatova, and Cypriot poets Evridiki Perikleou-Papadopoulou and Vasos Venizelos — are woven throughout the performance.
