A unique tightrope walkers’ show

One of the most thrilling and ambitious projects at the ArtCargo 2026 festival is a spectacular tightrope performance entitled ‘SOKA TIRA OSOA’ by the world-renowned French contemporary circus troupe BASINGA.

The French troupe BASINGA, led by the renowned tightrope walker Tatiana-Mosio Bongaonga, specialises in the most challenging high-altitude shows around the world. Their aim is to demonstrate that overcoming difficulties and maintaining balance are only possible through mutual support and unity amongst people.

A professional tightrope walker from the BASINGA troupe will walk along a rope stretched high above the ground. The main feature of the show is its interactive nature. The safety and tension of the wire depend on the audience themselves: volunteers and ordinary passers-by from the crowd will literally hold and stabilise the wire using special ropes from below, creating a living, collective support.

The performance will take place to the sound of live music, with musicians playing outdoors, adapting their rhythm to each of the artist’s movements high above.
