A circus show on a tightrope

The appearance of young Japanese artist Kanon Ito will be the main event of the youth programme at the ArtCargo 2026 festival in Nicosia.
Kanon Ito is an 11-year-old rising star from Japan who, despite her age, has already gained recognition on the international circus scene. She masterfully combines the classic technique of tightrope balancing with elements of contemporary choreography and acrobatics, surprising audiences with her remarkable endurance and artistry for her age.

A unique and inspiring tightrope circus performance showcasing incredible balance, flexibility and concentration rarely seen in such young artists.

Kanon Ito's performance aims to highlight the limitless potential of young people in contemporary circus art. Her act is not merely a display of complex aerial acrobatics, but also a powerful emotional expression of courage, overcoming fear and seeking balance at a young age.
