About This Event
The Christmas Puppet Theatre "Ririkkos" is based on the hugely popular Christmas song and fairy tale in the Cypriot dialect, created by Cypriot composer Kostas Kakogiannis.
The protagonist of the performance is a Cypriot donkey with a big grievance: he is jealous of Rudolph the reindeer and wants, by every means, to take Santa Claus for a ride and help him distribute the Christmas gifts. Through comic situations, unexpected twists and elements of Cyprus's rich tradition, a warm Christmas story unfolds, telling children about the value of authenticity, self-acceptance and the true meaning of Christmas.
