Brandy Sour in Paphos

The Antilogos Theatre presents its opening production for the 2026-2027 season, Brandy Sour, a stage adaptation of the award-winning novel of the same name by Constantia Sotiriou, directed by Neoclis Neocleous.

This production brings to life stories from the once-glamorous but now abandoned Grand Hotel, Ledra Palace, which remains a timeless landmark for most Cypriots. The production brings together Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot actors, bridging the present and the past and reconstructing the contemporary mosaic of Cypriot reality.

From the garden of the Goethe-Institut, located next to Ledra Palace, the glamorous hotel that welcomed celebrities, artists, politicians, rebels and soldiers, peacekeepers and negotiators, takes on the leading role it deserves.

Through shared storytelling in a bilingual environment, using both standard Greek and standard Turkish as well as their respective dialects, the stories of people who experienced glory, decline and division will come to life. Inspired by the historic building of Ledra Palace and the people who visited it, worked there or simply passed by, we invite you to a theatrical exploration of our identity and history, the history of our homeland.
