Discover, Connect, Dare - Erasmus Days 2026

The Municipality of South Nicosia - Idalion is preparing an evening for the whole family as part of Erasmus Days 2026, full of opportunities, knowledge, activities and European experiences.

On Friday, 16 October 2026, from 18:00 to 21:00, Lympia Community Park will become a shared space for meeting, information, participation and entertainment, at an event that aims to bring Europe closer to the local community by highlighting the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme.

With the central message "Discover • Connect • Dare", visitors will have the opportunity, through interactive and experiential activities, to explore themes related to education, science, technology, entrepreneurship, society, sport and European cooperation.

Live Link from Radio Proto

Radio Proto presenters Nikolas Ioannidis and Giota Damianou will broadcast the pulse of the event live from Lympia Community Park through a Live Link. From 18:00 to 20:00, they will give listeners a taste of the atmosphere, activities and special moments of the evening.

A "European Passport" full of experiences

A key feature of the evening will be the "European Passport", through which visitors will be able to explore the stands, take part in various activities and collect stamps, completing their own European journey. They will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw, with an iPad Air and a pen as prizes, worth a total of €1.000.

Knowledge and action at the forefront

Particular emphasis is placed on environmental awareness and sustainable development. Through experiential activities, visitors will be able to explore topics such as Renewable Energy Sources, energy storage and climate change.

They will also have the opportunity to learn more about issues relating to the creation of greener and more sustainable cities. Sport is another important theme of the event, highlighting its role as a means of social participation, equality, inclusion and the development of new skills. Emphasis will also be placed on entrepreneurship and new skills, while the event's rich programme includes activities highlighting the importance of personal development and mental wellbeing.

Of course, the fun does not stop there. Visitors can stop by the Wheel of Kindness and leave their own message on the Chain of Kindness. In addition, they will be able to test their knowledge and learn more about the European Union.

The Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes will also have a significant presence at the event, giving interested visitors the opportunity to receive information from experts about the available Erasmus+ programmes and participation opportunities offered to different groups of citizens.

A European evening for the whole family

Naturally, music could not be absent from the event, while visitors will be able to enjoy loukoumades, finger food, treats, soft drinks and juices. For game enthusiasts, there will also be activities such as ping-pong and backgammon.

The Municipality of South Nicosia - Idalion invites children and adults alike to take part in a different kind of European evening, meet people and organisations, discover new possibilities and see Europe not as something distant, but as a space of opportunities, cooperation, knowledge and active participation.
