Athalassa National Forest Park

Nicosia's largest green space and main outdoor recreation area, covering 840 hectares on the southeastern edge of the capital. Declared a National Forest Park in 1990, it features a scenic artificial lake with ducks and swans, 20km of walking and cycling trails, botanical gardens, picnic areas, playgrounds, and a Visitor/Environmental Information Centre. Regularly hosts outdoor events, yoga sessions, community gatherings and environmental campaigns. Free entry; Visitor Centre charges €1.
