This free Easter Sunday celebration in Marathasa village, Cyprus is organised by the Marathasa Overseas Association (Somatío Apodímon) and takes place at the courtyard of the Church of Agia Varvara on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 16:30 to 19:00. The event brings the community together to revive traditional Cypriot Easter customs in a warm and festive village atmosphere.
The programme features traditional Easter games for all ages — including Syni, egg races, handkerchief dance, sack races, and Soussi — alongside Easter craft activities for children. Sweets, sítaropoulles, and drinks will be offered to all attendees.
