Aliki! is a comedy tribute to legendary Greek actress Aliki Vouyouklaki, presented by Thespians Theatre at Latsia Theatre in Nicosia, Cyprus, on Sunday 17 May 2026 from 16:15 to 18:00, as part of the Gelios Festival. This year marks 30 years since the real Aliki's final curtain call.
Written by Antonis Tsipianitsis Atherinos, directed by Antonietta Karyou, and choreographed by Irini Chrysovalanti Polymeron. Produced by Co.Media and Thespians Theatre, under the auspices of the Municipality of Latsia-Gerio. Please arrive 30 minutes before the show begins.
A crazed Vouyouklaki fan visits her psychologist, convinced she is Aliki herself. Drawing on everyday chaos and the fleeting nature of social media, the two characters summon the memory of Greek cinema's golden era. The session descends into surreal delirium: the psychologist is swept along for the ride, roles are reversed, and nothing makes sense — gloriously. The show blends humour, music, and psychoanalysis in an experience that balances emotion and pure entertainment. Meze and wine are served during the performance.
