The wine villages are charming settlements characterised by traditional stone-built houses and cobbled streets. Cheerful voices, music and the rich aromas of grapes fill the air, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Wine, with its distinctive aromas and flavours, lies at the heart of the celebration. Today, the festivities continue with traditional music and dancing, wine-tasting competitions and the revival of old customs. Stalls offer fresh fruit and vegetables, local products and traditional delicacies to sample.
Among the many activities, a particular highlight is the preparation of traditional grape-must sweets, including palouzes, soutzoukos and kiofterka.
