About This Event
The legendary Swiss band Samael will perform in Cyprus for the first time. On 13 November, the stage at Downtown Live in Nicosia will host an evening dedicated to several decades of evolution in extreme and experimental music.
Over more than 30 years, Samael have travelled a path from early black metal to symphonic and industrial sound. More than 100 original compositions, nearly 1,000 concerts worldwide, and appearances at major festivals - Dynamo, Wacken, With Full Force and Summer Breeze - have become part of the band's history.
In 2026, Samael returned with the new singles «Hidden Empire» and «Hail to the Sun», opening a new chapter in their musical history.
The Swiss guests will be joined by two significant Cypriot bands.
Goodblood are among the representatives of the early Cypriot black metal scene. The band was formed in Nicosia in 1990, while their 1994 demo «Flowers» gained recognition far beyond the island's borders. In 2022, the musicians released the EP «Morbid Heritage», which included compositions created almost 30 years earlier. A new release from the band is expected in 2026.
Temple of Evil have existed since 2008 and create atmospheric Cypriot black metal that combines philosophical and ideological themes, a ritual atmosphere, and motifs of inner chaos. The band has performed repeatedly both in Cyprus and abroad.
13 November at 20:00.
