About This Event
On October 16, Zohouri Square in Larnaca will host the EKEINI Festival—a special evening dedicated to women, their strength, independence, creativity, and ability to overcome challenges.
The festival will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will combine discussions on important social issues, music, creativity, and the atmosphere of a city-wide celebration.
The main theme of the first part of the evening will be a discussion titled “Invisible Chains: Economic Violence Against Women.” The discussion will feature Susana Pavlu, director of the Mediterranean Institute for Gender Studies (MIGS), and Yiannis Dianellos, a podcaster and radio host.
Following the discussion, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the artistic program will begin. Maritina Koukouma will open the event, followed by performances by Antia Georgiou (vocals) and Christoforos Evlavis (guitar).
Small pop-up shops featuring local artisans and creative brands will add a special atmosphere to the festival. Guests will have the opportunity to explore one-of-a-kind items, jewelry, candles, sweets, and other creations by local artisans. Participants include Yarnmade with Love, Handmade by Marta, Cookielicious, Artistarw, Creations by Evanthia, The Marble Avenue, Seleni Candles, So am I Jewellery, and M.K Homemade Sweets.
There will also be food and beverage stands offering affordable options throughout the festival grounds.
The EKEINI Festival invites you to spend an evening in a space where meaningful conversations blend with music, creativity, and lively interaction, and where women’s stories, ideas, and achievements become a reason to come together and find inspiration.
