RIOT V CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF HEAVY METAL WITH A SPECIAL CYPRUS SHOW

Riot V returns to Cyprus on 11 November with House of Treason opening the night at DownTown Live Nicosia

Five decades of heavy metal history come to Cyprus.

Riot V, the legendary American heavy metal force born from the legacy of Riot, will return to Cyprus on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, for a special annual performance at DownTown Live in Nicosia.

The Cyprus show is part of the band's "Hail To The Warriors Tour 2026", celebrating 50 years of Riot with a special setlist that spans the band's remarkable history and features songs from across its extensive catalogue.

For fans of classic American heavy metal, this is an opportunity to enjoy the music of a band whose history stretches back to 1975, from Riot's early releases through the historic Thundersteel era and beyond. Riot V continues to carry the musical legacy founded by co-founding guitarist Mark Reale, bringing the band's classic material to stages around the world.

HOUSE OF TREASON WILL OPEN THE NIGHT

Cypriot heavy metal band House of Treason will take part in this special Cyprus appearance of Riot V, kicking off the evening and setting the tone for what promises to be a night dedicated to heavy metal.

House of Treason has built its presence on the Cypriot metal scene with its own material, including the 2025 album Alarm and their 2026 release Origins.

The combination of one of the historic American names in heavy metal with one of Cyprus's active metal acts makes this a special night for the local scene.

RIOT V - 50 YEARS OF HEAVY METAL

From the raw energy of early Riot to the power-metal foundations laid by Thundersteel and the band's subsequent releases, Riot's influence can be heard across generations of heavy metal.

Now, five decades after the band's formation, Riot V begins its annual celebration with a set designed to revisit the songs and eras that made the Riot name synonymous with classic American heavy metal.

Following their previous Cyprus appearance at DownTown Live in 2024, Riot V returns to Nicosia for another night with the warriors.
