The Pafos Aphrodite Festival presents Gaetano Donizetti's beloved opera L'Elisir d'Amore (The Elixir of Love) as the centrepiece of its 24th edition, taking place on September 4 and 5 at 7:30pm in Castle Square, Paphos. Presented by the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, with the participation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, this production transforms the historic waterfront into an open-air operatic stage.

The opera tells the story of Nemorino, a young villager who believes a magical love potion will help him win the affection of the woman he loves.
