Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival is a landmark cultural event in Nicosia, Cyprus, returning for its 11th edition from 2 to 4 October 2026 at the Home for Cooperation in the UN Buffer Zone. After ten consecutive editions, the festival adopted a biennial format, making this 2026 return a highly anticipated moment for the Cypriot and international arts communities. The festival is a space for those who dare to challenge — showcasing new and experimental work that crosses physical and artistic boundaries.
Organised by the Home for Cooperation since 2014, Buffer Fringe brings together Cyprus-based and international artists to present solo and collaborative performances of up to 45 minutes. All forms of experimental and interdisciplinary performance work are welcome, contributing to a unique festival model rooted in peacebuilding, artivism, and collective creative practice. 🎭
The festival takes place in and around the Ledra Palace area, in the heart of the divided city of Nicosia — a setting that gives Buffer Fringe its singular identity as a bridge-builder between communities, cultures, and artistic visions. 🕊️
