About Patticheio Amphitheatre

The Patticheio Municipal Theatre is set in forest grounds parallel to the Larnaka Salt Lake and is a popular place for walking and jogging with elevated views of the salt lake from the higher paths. The 2km pedestrian trail winds through a large natural park which is a wider part of Larnaka Salt Lake. The park area was separated from the salt lake in the 1980’s, and in order to protect the rare Cyprus flora that grows there, an extensive network of pedestrian paths were constructed. There is also open-air gym equipment along the path, whilst the open-air theatre was constructed in the ancient amphitheatre style to host outdoor events during the spring and summer season, including theatre, concerts and dance shows.
