This theatre production in Nicosia, Cyprus presents William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” returning to the main stage of the Cyprus Theatre Organisation from February 2026. Directed by British Shakespearean director Owen Horsley, the production offers a bold and contemporary interpretation of one of Shakespeare’s most exuberant comedies.
Set in Illyria, the story follows Viola, shipwrecked and disguised as a man, as she becomes entangled in a web of mistaken identities, unspoken love, and emotional reversals. Blending joy and melancholy, music and movement, the production transforms the classic tale of disguise and desire into a vibrant celebration of love, fluid identity, and human contradiction. The show also tours Larnaca, Limassol, and Paphos.
