2 Routes in Xystaroudas: Moderate & Difficult

This hiking event in Limassol, Cyprus takes place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, offering two simultaneous routes in the Xystaroudas area with moderate and difficult options. Participants can choose according to their fitness level and hiking experience.

The first route (Xylogefyro – Platy Valley – Xystaroudas Picnic Site, linear) covers 11 km return, with difficulty level 2 (moderate) and a duration of approximately 3½ to 4 hours. The trail follows the scenic Platy river through tall plane and pine trees, ascends towards the ancient settlement of Kourion and includes a short rest stop at the picnic site.

The second route (Xylogefyro – Kavalos – Xystaroudas Picnic Site, circular) is 13 km long, rated difficulty level 3 and lasts around 4 to 4½ hours. It is a demanding hike with continuous ascents and descents, altitude variations and diverse landscapes, including forest paths, gorges and panoramic mountain views.
