Larnaca Cinema Festival: Film, Music & Workshops in Larnaca

The Larnaca Cinema Festival is one of Cyprus's most beloved cultural events, returning to Larnaca from 27 to 30 August 2026 with four days of curated film screenings, live performances, guided city tours, and creative workshops across various locations in the city. Organised by the Larnaka Cinema Society — a non-profit dedicated to film culture — the festival is supported by Larnaka 2030 (European Capital of Culture) and the Ministry of Culture.

🎬 What to expect:

The festival opens on Wednesday, 27 August with a live performance by the "Aurora" string quartet, performing iconic soundtracks from world cinema history, followed by the very first film screening of the 2026 edition. Day two (28 August) features a special guided walking tour of the city paired with a screening of Dancing Queen. On 29 August, the festival hosts a dedicated filmmaking workshop for young creators aged 11–15, running alongside the regular film programme. The festival closes on 30 August.
